At RTD Services, we take our responsibility for caring for your home or business very seriously.
We have been certified in wood restoration by the Power Washers of North America. RTD Services’ training program is the most advanced in the industry and consists of DVD training and field training with a certified trainer. In addition, we are continuously looking for even better restoration methods, new and more advanced equipment and tools, and additional training at seminars and trade events. Rest assured that you have chosen the right people for your project.
Unlike most other local wood restoration companies, we offer a prorated limited warranty program designed to give you peace of mind and real value. Many factors can affect the life expectancy of the services we offer, including the type of material of the structure, the weather, and the amount of foot traffic, among others. Regardless, if for any reason you believe the results are falling short of your expectations, we will re-treat the area in question at a prorated charge for the original homeowner. (See the information for the specific services for details). The prorated warranty is based on the original non-warranty date of service and is not perpetual.
The following is an example of how our prorated limited warranty works with a deck where the spindles and vertical surfaces look great, but the horizontal walking surfaces have not held up as expected:
- The original price of the project was $600.
- Of the original $600 price, the horizontal portion of the dec project – the portion for which the warranty service is being requested – was $300.
- The warranty on horizontal surfaces is 18 months.
- The customer requested warranty service 1 year after the project was completed, which is two-thirds (67%) of the way through the 18-month limited warranty period.
- Multiply the relevant portion of the price for the warranty service ($300) by the percentage of the warranty period that has passed (67%). In this case, the cost for the warranty services would be $300 x 0.67 = $201.
The example above is how the prorated warranty will be handled on any and all service related and warranty-related claims.
